I'm a sucker for a blanket scarf and a good pair of booties! Who isn't right? I've been loving this colder weather and snow because I get to bundle up and layer away! Life hasn't stopped lately. We've had just about every single problem possible happen to our new little house, but hey.. Happy home owning right? I'm sure one day we will just giggle about all the terrible things that have happened. But right now it's not funny at all. Haha. Even though I don't seem too upset. Trust me. It's terrible.

The Basics
I'm all about good basics and having pieces that you can mix and match with just about everything. I've found myself really going back to basics this year. I want to focus on getting killer pieces that will last a long time and that I can virtually wear with everything else in my closet. Goals right? Haha. That brings me to this whole gid-up. I am all about having a perfectly oversized jean button up in the old closet. You can literally wear this with anything. Dress is down and sporty like I did or tuck it into high waisted jeans, add a heel and you have a completely different look!
Stripes. I'm obsessed with stripes. The obsession will never stop. I can't get enough of them. And stripes mixed with crops? Bye. Everyone needs the perfect fitting cropped stripe tee in their closet. It's perfect for layering when it's a bit cold out and then amazing by itself in the spring! This top is long sleeved with a crop (I love).
Good comfy AF pants. Honestly having comfy pants is like #1 to me. I have to love the fit/comfort of my pants or else I wont wear them. I LOVE these drop crotch pants by One Teaspoon. They're ultra comfy and I just think they look so cute and sporty and add a little unexpected twist to a basic outfit. These can also be dressed up or down. But on a graphic tee, a little blazer or cute jacket and a boot or cute flat and you'd have a totally different look.
Adidas. Need I say more? If you haven't yet snagged yourself a pair of good ole Adidas you need to get on that! I wear these all the time, they're perfect for running errands and to add a little sporty spice to any outfit.

Vanity Planet X Alternative indigo
hi guys! i haven't really talked about skin care as of late soooo here i am! i think previously i've mentioned the vanity planet spin for perfect skin brush before but here i am mentioning it again because it's definitely a staple to my weekly skin care routine! they came out with the cutest colors ever this season and i decided on the pretty coral one! i really love this brush because honestly i feel like i'm an over exofilator. i can't really find a happy medium with a scrub. i feel like i just get so anal that i scrub my face off and lets be real that's not the goal of exfoliation!
that's why i feel like having a spin brush is super important! it exfoliates way better and more gentle than any scrub can! and that's why i'm hooked. i like to spin 2-3 times a week after removing my make up to help remove dead skin and get some new skin cells comin!
But the brush doesn't just help removed dead skin and get some new cells coming it also:
- helps with radiance
- removes bacteria
- reduces pore sizes
- has 4 attachments (as shown)
- you can use it in the shower or out of the shower!
i've also been obsessed with skin scrubs as of late. i loveeeee this one by vanity planet. it's their bru essential body scrub. works amazing, i love the smell and it's packed with cocoa, coffee, dead sea salt and coconut to help energize and firm skin! who doesn't need some extra firming in these winters months. haha. but for real. i really love both of these products and they are essential to making it through the week!

Burn Your Bra
let me be just a little bit honest with you. jeans. i dread them. i hate shopping/buying/trying on jeans. i hate it. why? i'm 5'10" and not shrinking anytime soon; not to mention i've got a waist that doesn't get along well with my butt. i've got a little more junk in the truck than the jean companies think should be back there.
i got my hands to these two pairs of jeans from revice denim and i'm like k..... could their jeans be anymore perfectly designed for me? nah. impossible. i couldn't resist these darling little graphic tee's (here and here) either that are like perfectly weathered and soooo soft. what's even more crazy is i can even cuff my jeans at the top of my booties. that's never happened before.
i wore these mom jeans to veloure's 10 year anniversary the other evening and got so many compliments. these are kinda mom jeans that you just feel like a freakin milf. they hug everywhere they're supposed to and fall away from your body with perfection in all the right places. and lets talk about the little braid detail on the skinnies. k bye. enough. the wash. the fit. the detail. everything. plus they're the perfect price for those jeans you need to last.
going on to the perfect outfit-- i paired these shop beston booties (here and here) with both these looks because i felt like they tied it all in sooo perfectly. shop beston has theeee cutest shoes and they're super affordable and such good quality.
moving has been crazy. i will slowly start showing you guys special places in my home as they come together. and you know what? sometimes you just need to dress up in your favorite clothes in your favorite corner of the house. bye.
